•  Can you tell us about yourself in brief ?

 My name is Damilola A. Alonge Aka Mansa Jabulani Of LaLA

 Born in the early 90’s, 7/12/ ,Was born in Agege , I’m from osun state . Ilesha

•  What first got you into music Productions?

Firstly i started my life as a church boy turned choir member, turned choir leader, started playing musical instrument like drums & piano gradually gradually music was invented in me. So years after this period my career as an artist started. i’ve recorded couple of songs back in the days. but my encounter with one of my music producer back then “Stevo Lahlah” developed my interest in making music. He was the first ever producer i worked with and the first to make use of fruity loop 6 to make my beat. from that moment, i wrote down the name of the music making software, got my own version and started making loads of meaningless sounds . lol

•  Who inspired you to music Production?

The First Producer I worked with [Stevo Lah Lah] & Olumix. I watch them making music and i was fun. No stress .

•  How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I Create my feelings. How i feel is what i make. because making music deal with the whole of me. if i make a dancehall beat trust me that moment i was actually dancing in my head. so i craft out whats in my head, my mood.

•  What is your creative process like?

Omo my creative process is base on what inspired me.
firstly
I select industry standard samples , loops and Fx sounds.
Secondly ,
I picture the pattern i intend to follow, and go by it creatively,
MELODY;

1. I MAKE SURE THERE IS ONE PROMINENT MELODY THAT IS CATCHING (EASY TO FOLLOW)

2. I PLAY AROUND WITH EFFECTS AS I MAKE THE BEAT(REVERBS, DELAY E.T.C)

3. I MAKE MY DRUMS FIRST AND I CHANGE THE COMBINATION EVERY 8 BARS INTERVAL

4. I PLAY MELODIES AS ACCOMPANY NOT AS THE MAIN THING ***VERY IMPORTANT

5. LOW END COORDINATION – I LIMIT MY LOWEND INSTRUMENTS TO KICK BASS, 808 and Sometimes TOMS
In all I flow with how inspired i am.

•   Who would you most like to collaborate with or make Productions for?

Omo its any artist that can interprete my craft to its peak oo. Anybody

•  If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

Jabulani Talent Trails. Any show am going to set up is to discover new talents.

•  What is one message you would give to your fans?

 I’ll Urge my fans out there to stay connected, the best is yet to come and mansa jabulani is here to stay. focus on your dreams cos we live in the world of possibilities. anything can happen. stay blessed.

•  What is the most useless talent you have?
  

Omo no useless talent any where oooo. even if na mmmmmmmm you sabi do na still beter thing nah lol… but me i no get any useless talent sha ….

•  Do you sing in the shower for inspiration? What songs?

 I no dey sing for shower oooo and if i won sing self, its going to be a song that’s been ringing in my kidney. and the normal me, na so so shout i go shout for bathroom that the poeple around me will be wondering wetin dey do this man lol .

•   What would you be doing right now if it wasn’t for your music production career?

I can’t even say…. i don’t know God knows

•  Where Weird Place have you Made Productions?What are your favourite and least favourite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?

 Weird place.!! inside the kitchen naani. where else? na inside kitchen .i can cope in any environment without complains

•  How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music production business?

 The internet created presense for every indivual that knows how to make use of it . The internet is one of the best platform, infact its the best self.

•  What is your favourite song to Vibe With?

 My Favorite songs are yet to be released. i listend to them on a low

•  Which famous musicians do you admire?

Davido, Zlatan, Kizz Daniel, Roddy Ricch, : Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage , Cardi B …lots like that sha

•  What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

No Trouble…….. I trouble no one and i stay away from trouble…and God’s been there for me too. No Trouble

•   What is the best advice you’ve been given?

To be Me …..

•  If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

Make dem dey give us royalty.

•  What’s your inspiration behind Your Productions?

I do my thing and inspiration comes

•  Have You Ever Sang Before ?

Yeah I started my career as an artist.

• How Did you Come About The Name Mansa Jabulani?

Mansa Jabulani….. The name Jabulani came from my very best friend from way back Khalifa Kaytee… he used to call me Jabulani wey dey run pass Bazooka  . So I added Mr To it . So people call me Mr Jabulani. As time passes I decided to change it to Mansa . Mansa means [King] Jabulani Means [Rejoice, Happy].

• What Challenge have you had so far in the Music Industry?

Omo So many challenges ooooo. the industry is very wide, far and open for anybody that,s not ready to give up soon…… my own challenge is too many competitors you’re not even seeing coming……. lol

• The Journey So Far ?

The journey so far no be easy journey . So many ups and downs…. but Gods been there always. And I’ve always been focused too. Consistency is all that’s been keeping me going till date.

Omo,  no be small thing oo.
I worked as a bricklayer back then, later I worked at PZ from PZ, I bought my first desktop system. Those hunchback System,Omo no be small thing ooo the story long my brother.

• How Did You Get Zanku Records Deal?

Zanku Zanku Zanku to the world………make we leave this one like this lol.

• What Is Your Relationship With Zlatan Ibile ?

My relationship with Zlatan …. hmmmmmm zlatan is my brother , in whom I am well pleased

• What’s next for you?

Go Global. World Recognition. Now is the time
