Akure Explosion – Caused By Quarry Truck Carrying Explosives

The explosion that happened in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Saturday morning has left no fewer than 100 residential buildings, school, churches destroyed.

Initially, Prenkoloaded reported that residents allegedly claimed the explosion was caused by the Asteroid; some researchers claimed who land on the planet earth this year.

In the meantime, Prenkoloaded learnt that it was a truck owned by a quarry company carrying explosives that exploded in Ilu- Abo in Akure north local government area of Ondo.

The truck enroute which Edo State was also accompanied by police escorts destroyed over hundred houses.

The blast which occurred in the early hours of Saturday cut off the ever-busy Akure /Owo road; while many people were said to be injured.
