- Can you tell us about yourself in brief ?
My name is My name is ‘Olutoki Daniel Damilare
- What first got you into music ?
I just had different expressions inside of me that needed a voice; since I couldn’t keep it inner no more, I had to finna give ’em all voices. That’s was the beginning of my musical career.
I’m very dexterous with words; so I always wanted to use it to bring people to happiness,and I’m doing it in a grand style now.
- Who inspired you to music ?
I desire so much to put my oratory talent to use; thus I make music to fill up many words.
However, many at times, I don’t have people to say things to; I only say them in my songs.
Just give me the beats, watch me jump on it📍
- How would you describe the music that you typically create?
By God’s Grace, I’ve been able to join afrobeats with trap music. For me, it’s diversified, I can sing, rap, and trap, so I took to blending those genres together, I came up with ‘Afrotrap’ (I’m an Afrotrap artiste)
- What is your creative process like?
my creative process is enviable and trivial. I mostly compose lyrics very early in the morning like 4am-6am. Like I did for ‘Purple Love’, track number 1 on my new EP (Purple Diction) I really don’t spend much time on writing, it just comes to me, and I grind along😜
- Who would you most like to collaborate with or make Productions for?
I’d like to collaborate with Dej Loaf, Emtee, Nasty C, Major lazer, DJ suede, Kranium and Chidinma.Tory lanez
- If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
I’d like to open a show for Olamide, Davido and Wizkidayo
- What is one message you would give to your fans?
I’d like them to always know I’m here to make good music to bring them to happiness. This is what I intend doing for a lifetime; no jokes!

- What is the most useless talent you have?
Hmmm, I’m yet to discover that one oo boss lol
- Do you sing in the shower for inspiration? What songs?
Nope, I don’t sing in the shower for inspiration; I only get inspired in the shower when chilled water touches the center of my head in the early mornings and late evening.
That feeling is Golden; I tell you 😆
- What would you be doing right now if it wasn’t for your music career?
I’d be the stereotypical Nigerian aiming at Living the average life, but Hell No!
There’s more to life than graduating from school, get a job, settle down, own a house, maybe couple of cars, pay bills and die!

- Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?
I’ve performed at different campus venues when I was in UI, also performed at trans amusement park in Bodija, Ibadan.
I hope and pray to perform at greater grounds, for now, I don’t have any coming up shows, but watchout👁️
- How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?
internet has assisted me a whole lot, the positive effect of the internet on my craft cannot be overemphasized
- What is your favourite song to perform?
Colour me‘ (for now)
- Which famous musicians do you admire?
I don’t go round admiring people, I just appreciate Artiste who makes good music (s)
- What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?
Losing a key to someone else’s room
- What is the best advice you’ve been given?
‘Stay woke my brother, it’s not a new thing, people move easily from bro to boss, and from boss to bro, brace yourself’
- If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Quality of music artiste puts out after sometime of being in limelight
- What’s your inspiration behind Your new project “Purple Diction”
It was a time when I was inspired too much, I just had to put out a project, my relationship experience, financial predicament and future aspirations can not be ruled out too
- What Challenge have you had so far in the Music Industry ?
A major challenge is that most people don’t give a damn ’bout upcoming artistes, meanwhile what most talented upcoming folks like me need is just a platform, unfortunately, it looks almost impossible in getting it.
I believe on God I’d get the biggest platforms there is and drip so hard in the world music industry.
- The Journey So Far ?
My first single was in 2018, that was ‘Benediction‘. Basically, it was a song asking for God’s guidance to see me throughout the Journey of musical career, the beat was a mixed tape, which was mixed by ‘Dedo‘ a producer who happened to be observing his national service at the time.
Basically, it has really been hard, I can’t lie. The Money I used to pay the producer for my first single was my accommodation fee for my final year. Lol. Had to use it with a view to getting it back, by God’s Grace, I did get it back.
I make a lot of sacrifices as regards the music, I can’t even afford even the minimum luxury or chilling I’d love to, just because, the music has to keep pushing.
I’m into digital marketing, I render digital marketing services to people, and I get paid for it, I use those funds to push the music further.
- What’s next for you?
Making good tailored musical videos and getting my music to reach millions of people and billions even…
